The Citizen Participation Program (CPP) and International Organization for Migration, Mission to the Republic of Moldova (IOM) call for applications from community based initiative groups that are interested in participating and implementing counter-trafficking projects. The initiative groups are invited to submit proposals for funding that will educate at-risk populations about ways to prevent trafficking in human beings.

The deadline for submitting applications is 18 April, 2007, at 6.00 p.m. During the following week the joint IREX/CPP and IOM Moldova Selection Committee will analyze the projects and decide upon grant awarding. All applications must be submitted by e-mail to antitraffickingprojects@gmail.com (Subject line: Proiect ATP) or brought directly to IREX-Citizen Participation Program at: Kentford building, bd. Stefan cel Mare 202, Chisinau, MD-2004.

The timeframe for the project should range between 1 to 2 months and all project activities should be implemented during this period. Projects are supposed to start in May, 2007 and end in July, 2007. The maximum amount to be requested is $10 000.

Programul de Dezvoltare Participativa a Comunitatilor din Republica Moldova (CPP) si Misiunea Organizatiei Internationale pentru Migratie in Republica Moldova (IOM Moldova), fac apel catre grupurile de initiativa si ONG-uri locale care sunt interesate de elaborarea si implementarea proiectelor de prevenire a traficului de fiinte umane. Grupurile vor inainta spre finantare activitati care ar contribui direct la educarea grupurilor de risc ale populatiei despre modalitatile de prevenire a traficului de fiinte umane.

Data limita pentru inaintarea propunerilor de proiect este 18 aprilie, 2007, ora 18.00. Toate propunerile trebuie prezentate la oficiul central IREX Chisinau, la adresa: bd. Stefan cel Mare 202, Kentford, et.6, Chisinau, MD-2004) sau expediate in format electronic, cu toate anexele scanate, prin email la urmatoarea adresa: antitraffickingprojects@gmail.com (Subiect: Proiect ATP). In saptamana care va urma dupa data limita, Comisia de Selectare IREX-CPP si IOM Moldova vor analiza proiectele si vor decide asupra acordarii granturilor.

Durata proiectelor trebuie sa fie de la 1 la 2 luni, urmand ca toate activitatile sa fie realizate in aceasta perioada. Se preconizeaza ca implementarea proiectelor sa inceapa in luna mai 2007 si sa fie incheiata pana in iulie 2007. Suma maxima care poate fi solicitata este de $10 000.
