In order to mitigate the adverse effects of brain drain among young people and promote return and skill transfer of Moldovan overseas graduates by engaging them in private or public institutions in Moldova (2010-2012), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with the National Employment Agency (NEA), as well as with the Ministry of Education (MEd), Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) and Academy of Science of Moldova (ASM) in October 2010 advertised the program which promotes and facilitates the temporary and permanent return and professional reintegration of 30 Moldovan overseas graduates. read more...
IOM reiterates the announcement for a limited number of grants for Moldovan overseas graduates in humanities or exact domain, which desire to comeback to Moldova and be employed in public or private sector. IOM will support the Moldovan overseas graduates selected for professional placements in public and private institutions of Moldova. The project will provide logistic assistance in identifying job vacancies and 200 euro monthly living allowance to participants for six months, as well as reimbursement of the transportation costs from the destination country to Moldova. The grant will be awarded on the “the first come, the first served” principle. The applicants who present the necessary documents to IOM (copies of the contract and ToR with a Moldovan employer, diploma/certificate confirming the oversee graduation, local ID passport) will get contracted. Taking into consideration the real wage level in RM, those who will get a salary higher than 500 Euro per month will not get contracted by IOM. Project objective: To facilitate the definite and temporary return of Moldovan overseas graduates and by this promoting the circulation of innovative ideas and skill transfer.
